About: Cookies
This site utilizes Active Server Pages (ASP) to bring you the information you want, when you want it. If you ask to be prompted before accepting cookies, you were prompted when you entered the site. If you have these cookies disabled, you should have come in without a problem. You are viewing this page because we want to inform you of our cookie use.

Mainly per-session cookies are used on this site. These cookies "die" once you leave the site, hence the name "per session". They allow us to use "Session Variables" throughout the site. The information we store in session variables include the properties you wish to add to your routing locations and the your userID from the travel planner. We keep your userID in a session variable to save you from having to enter it every time you attempt to access the itinerary.

We have recently added the feature of a stored cookie on the site by strong requests from our users. This is used for the itinerary so you don't have to constantly enter your username and password. If you have Check off "Remember me" on the log in screen, the cookie will be set. If you decide later that you don't want the cookie to be stored, or want to get rid of it, update your profile and uncheck the remember me option. This will set the cookie to expire immediately.

Unfortunately, If you want to be prompted before accepting the per session cookie, you will be prompted on almost every page of this site (we use ASP almost everywhere…). If you would like to continue on the site, I urge you to accept this cookie and I can assure you that you will not be flooded with spam, nor will we know all of your bank account numbers. :-)

If you want to learn more about cookies, please visit the Unofficial Cookie FAQ on CookieCentral.com

How to Enable Per-session Cookies:
Internet Explorer users can navigate to the top Menu, click on Tools, Internet options..., then click on the Security (IE 5) or Privacy (IE 6) Tab, then on the Custom Level.. / Advanced... button. Here you should see something similar to what you see below.

IE 5 IE 6+
Internet Explorer Security Settings IE 6 Privacy Settings
The only thing you have to enable for this site is the "per session" cookie. You may even want to only be prompted for it. If you do, you will be asked if we can set the cookie. If you click on the more info button, you will see that it expires "End of session", which only proves what I was saying above.

For Netscape 4 or 5 users you can get the screen below by navigating to Edit, Preferences and choosing the advanced section.

NetScape Advanced Preferences
All you need here is to choose cookies that get sent back to the originating server. If you wish to be prompted, you will see an alert similar to this:
Notice that the name of the cookie is ASPSESSIONID????????=?????????????????????? and that is all. Strictly session variables are stored in this cookie.

Netscape 7 users can simply check the following option in the menu

The most secure setting for Firefox users, that still allows per session cookies is shown below:
